The Alps, as they actually feel up here.

Original landscape and abstract photography from Engelberg — and guided photo hikes where you leave with a gallery of yourself in the mountains, not just a selfie.

About

A local mountain friend with a camera.

I'm Emil — originally from Gothenburg, now living year-round in Engelberg after a ski season turned into a life here.

I shoot the valley the way it actually looks when you're standing in it: the fog rolling off the cliffs, cows on a green slope, light breaking over the village at the end of the day. Everything here is made on a Ricoh GR IIIx, often on the way to or from work at 3,000m on Titlis.

Alongside the landscapes I make Abstrakt — in-camera multiple exposures that come out looking more like paintings than photographs. It's the work I'm proudest of, and it exists nowhere else.

What I do

Four ways to work together.

A print for your wall, a morning on the trails, or photography for your space — all rooted in this valley and the way it actually looks.

01

Fine art prints

Signed landscape and Abstrakt prints on archival Hahnemühle cotton paper, in A3+ and A2. Made to order, ready to frame.

02

Guided photo hikes

I guide you on the best trails around Engelberg and photograph you throughout. You leave with a hike and a gallery of yourself in the Alps.

03

Interior & architectural

Photography for restaurants, hotels and chalets that want their space to look as good online as it does in person — for websites, booking platforms and social.

04

Hotel wall art

Original local prints for hotels and spaces — bought outright or rotated each season so your walls always feel current.

Selected work

A collection, not a camera roll.

A handful of images that earn their place — the mountains in single-frame form, and the Abstrakt series where they turn into something dreamlike.

Interior & architectural

Make your space look as good online as it does in person.

Photography for restaurants, hotels and chalets — natural, atmospheric images for your website, booking platforms and social. I work in Engelberg hospitality myself, so I know how a space needs to feel to fill tables and rooms.

Guided photo hikes

Come home with photos of yourself in the Alps.

Most hikes give you scenery. Most photographers give you photos. This is both — a personal day on the trails where I guide you and photograph you the whole way.

01A local guide who lives here year-round, picking the route to fit the weather, the trail, and you.
02Natural, candid photos — not stiff posing. You hike, I capture it.
03A professionally edited online gallery of 20–50 images afterwards, ready for printing or sharing.
